Door Open Warning(DOW)

A DOW is a safety feature that alerts the driver or passengers when a vehicle door is not securely closed. This warning is typically shown on the dashboard with a visual indicator, sometimes accompanied by an audible alert. The Door Open Warning helps prevent accidents by reminding occupants to check and securely close all doors before or during driving, enhancing both safety and vehicle performance. Some advanced systems also provide alerts if a door is about to be opened into oncoming traffic, especially in modern cars equipped with safety sensors.
